Allied Health Professionals comprise nearly 60% of the healthcare workforce. They contribute to the general health of all Australians by working collaboratively with each other, providing comprehensive patient centred care. They are seen as specialists in their fields and therefore are knowledgeable about all forms of additional treatments and services that may assist their patients/clients in obtaining the best results possible.
Through the Allied Health Professionals Network you will develop an ongoing referral network, that will enable you to meet and develop ongoing business relationships with other allied health professionals. For eg A Podiatrist may be working with a client and they are having a general discussion and the client mentions that they are looking for a Physiotherapist to assist with tightness in their back…the ideal situation would be that the Podiatrist is able to refer a Physiotherapist in the local area to his client. He would like to be able to even hand out business cards of this Physiotherapist to his client so that they have a solid referral and recommendation. Through this network we aim to build relationships and referral networks so that you are able to assist your clients in not only your area of expertise but also through solid referrals.
Later in 2019 we will run a series of breakfasts in your area that will give you the opportunity to meet other Allied Health Professionals that are looking to network and grow their referral network. There will be a business segment as well where you will get to learn about how to grow your business through listening to speakers on social media, human resources, marketing, business planning and pr.
The Allied Health Professionals Network has a whole section of valuable resources for your business including templates that you can use immediately. In the membership only area there are free business templates on all different topics from Marketing to Human Resources to Business Planning, all available for you to use with your staff and fellow coworkers who are working within your business.
The AHPN has a business directory where you will be able to choose from various options to promote your business. As a member you get the opportunity to add your logo, business contact details and web address immediately. There will also be other options for advertising as well on the website, through newsletters, at events etc. Eg. You may choose to advertise on the home page of the website which receives the most traffic or you may also choose to sponsor a breakfast and have the opportunity to brand your business and showcase your area of expertise in our Business of the Month segment.
